History

The A.H. Jones Company was established in 1904. They marketed REO & Cadillac, as well as other automobile lines and became a distributor for Chrysler automobiles in 1923. The A.H. Jones Company acted as a Chrysler automobile distributor until World War II and then continued as a Chrysler dealer until 1964.

Industrial-Irrigation Services was established as a division of the A. H. Jones Company in 1955 and in 1966 became a separate corporation, expanding its line of engines and related products and services. Several basic engine models were purchased directly from Chrysler Industrial Engine Operations, with the selling and servicing of complete power packages for the irrigation market being the primary focus. The relationship continued until January 31, 1995 when the Chrysler Corporation officially exited the marine and industrial engine business.

Our main location is in Hastings, Nebraska, where we have 20,000 square feet of shop and office space, 26,000 square feet of warehouse space and 30 employees. Since 1972, we have operated a branch office in Garden City, Kansas that consists of a 5,000 square feet facility.

At present, we concentrate on marketing four engine brands, General Motors, John Deere, Yanmar, and Origin. We purchase engines directly from GM Powertrain, John Deere Power Systems, Yanmar America Corporation, and Origin Engines. We customize these engines for use in a wide range of agricultural and industrial applications including irrigation power units, generator sets and numerous other applications.

The GM and Origin engine models that we currently market are fueled by natural gas or LP and are utilized in stationary and mobile applications. The John Deere and Yanmar engines are fueled by Diesel and are also utilized in a wide variety of stationary and mobile applications. We offer both emission certified and non-certified engine packages.

As an OEM/Distributor we market our products through an established dealer network which allows us to provide the end user with better warranty, service and parts support.

We also purchase product directly from such suppliers as Murphy, Rockford (TwinDisc), Impco, Marathon, Delco, Holley, and Woodward. We have also continued directly purchasing Mopar service parts for marine and industrial engines.
